Welcome to Course Search ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Course Search website, provider portal, or any of our related services (together, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

Course Search is a UK-based online marketplace connecting learners with training providers. We act as an intermediary platform. We do not deliver courses ourselves and are not a party to any contract you form with a provider.

2. Eligibility

To register as a provider you must be a UK-registered legal entity, with the authority to enter into binding agreements on behalf of that entity. You must provide accurate company details and respond to verification requests in a reasonable timeframe.

3. Provider accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity carried out under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, repeatedly fail moderation, or are used to mislead learners.

4. Course listings

Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, certifications, accreditations and delivery details. Listings must:

• Be honest, evidence-based and free of misleading or absolute claims.
• Comply with UK advertising standards (CAP/BCAP) and consumer law.
• Not infringe any third-party intellectual property.
• Not contain unlawful, discriminatory or deceptive content.

We moderate listings and may reject, edit or remove any listing that, in our reasonable judgment, does not meet our editorial or legal standards.

5. Lead generation and learner contact

When a learner submits an enquiry through a course listing, we share their details with the relevant provider so they can respond. Providers must handle learner data in line with UK GDPR (see our Privacy Policy) and respond to enquiries promptly and professionally.

6. Promoted placement and payments

Providers may purchase promoted placement to feature listings more prominently within a category. All payments are processed by Stripe under their separate terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled from within the provider portal. We may pause or end a promoted placement that breaches these Terms; pro-rated refunds are not offered for breach-related suspensions.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload (logos, photos, course descriptions). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reformat and promote that content as part of the Services. Course Search's own branding, software and design remain our property.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or to other users' data; (b) submit content that is unlawful, defamatory or infringes third-party rights; (c) scrape, harvest or bulk-export learner data; or (d) use the Services in any way that damages, disables or impairs the platform.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is". We make no warranties about course quality or learner outcomes — these are matters between the learner and the provider. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

You may close your provider account at any time from the portal. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your listings will be removed; data we are legally required to retain (e.g. invoices) will be kept for the relevant period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered providers by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may have additional statutory rights to bring claims in their local jurisdiction.
